 * Also available drilled for the washers, but I preferred to keep the option of not re-installing them.  It turns out that the CQ headlight washers have a different profile than the S2 bumper.  We judged it too much trouble to attempt to adapt, and elected to struggle by, somehow, sans washers.  The cover comes in grey primer.  Many will prefer the RS2 bumper cover.  I liked the low key look of the S2 cover, but the RS2 cover accommodates larger oil cooler, intercooler, as well as those cool 993 fog lights.

If you decide to retain stock CQ/S2 orientation of AC compressor and alternator, and opt not to custom fabricate, you will need the following parts:

Extension for oil pan

034 103 627 D

This part looks identical to standard extension, but with a hole for oil return cast into the top of the larger ear, and tapped for fasteners.  Why this piece, a chunk of Audi-blessed cast aluminum for a limited production car is only $28, while the battery box, a sheet metal stamping, is $200 is one of the eternal mysteries youíll ponder in the course of this project.

Oil Feed pipe

034 145 771 B

Oil return pipe

034 145 735 G

Oil filter bracket (6/99 note: It would appear that this bracket is identical to the stock S4/S6 piece so should be available through US dealers with an S4 PN)

034 115 417 C

Low pressure AC hose

895 260 740

This hose snakes under airbox, connecting drier and firewall away from turbo.  You wonít need it if you opt for the stock 200 AC/alt orientation, because you'll be re-plumbing the entire AC anyway.  This pipe is visible in the above photo showing battery box deletion.
